Goal:

 To provide support and guidance to increase the Chamber's effectiveness in assisting small businesses by:

  • Increasing members' awareness of the resources available through the Chamber,

  • Developing additional resources to meet specific needs of small business members,

  • Initiating programs to actively promote and encourage the use of available resources.

 

Actions:

 Support the Workshop Development subcommittee in: 

  • Identifying informational needs of small businesses regarding technology, marketing, and other issues,

  • Creating and presenting workshops on critical issues,

  • Recruiting Chamber members in companies offering various services of interest to make presentations about their services..

Administer and support the Mini Trade Table program.

 

Work with the CEO Roundtable program to:

  • Assist existing groups with administrative tasks such as maintaining meeting schedules,

  • Facilitate the sharing of information between groups about techniques that have been helpful in individual groups,

  • Assist in the recruitment and placement of new members for existing groups,

  • Encourage and assist in the formation of new groups as demand for spaces and services increases.

Create publish and distribute a manual designed to assist small businesses to prepare for and recover from disasters that can be anticipated in the region.

 

Publish a committee newsletter to inform the membership of the kinds of opportunities that the Chamber makes available to them with their participation.

 

Continue to investigate and promote more effective use of technology in the Chamber and the small business environment.
